January 1, 2018

Let me start this by apologizing for not posting anything for the last 2 months, but along with our normal tour schedule, it was also the holiday season, both Thanksgiving and Christmas, so when I wasn’t on the road I was pretty busy at home.

“on stage w Peter Noone in November”

I celebrated my 62nd birthday in November and once again, I was humbled by all the well wishes I received via Facebook, texts, phone calls & emails. And to top it off, I celebrated it watching my partner in crime, Billy Sullivan, perform at Bar 107 along with all my dear friends…thank you for making it a special day for me!

“Spina, Sullivan & Hudak on stage at Bar 107 on the eve of” Thanksgiving

Speaking of Bar 107, the “Spina, Sullivan & Hudak” reunion the night before Thanksgiving was a total success as we enjoyed the largest crowd the club ever had.

And of course, this past month on the road was spent performing Christmas shows. They are a fun departure from our normal shows and the audience always has a great time.

“Herman’s Hermits starring Peter Noone Christmas Show”

As you all know, 2017 was a sad and difficult year for me, personally. You’ve read my earlier posts so there’s no need for me to recap it, but I can honestly say that for the first time in my life I was glad to see a year come to an end. Thankfully, God blessed me with an incredible brother, a wonderful girlfriend, great friends & family and a very busy schedule to help ease the pain and get me through everything. So I’m looking forward to what the new year will bring. And now I’d like to wish all of you a safe, healthy & prosperous New Year. Also, if you have a dream you’ve yet to pursue, go chase it! And if you are already chasing that dream, keep living it! There is something I read back when I was about 27 yrs old that I’ve tried to live by. It said; “When I die, let it be with a dream unfulfilled than a dream abandoned.” HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

Have a Happy New Year!! I lost my mom on3/23/17. She was 97 and my best friend. It’s hard. I get up every day and still start to call her. I was 6 hrs. away and called her every day. I turned 64 in May. I am so glad that you have all of those family and friends. You are a wonderful person. I hope you have a wonderful year!! Maybe I’ll get to a concert this year.

I’m not good with playing music but it’s the opportunity to at least try that gives me joy. It’s like everything else. If you like it,just do it for the fun or for the good that can come from it.
